Official Amo apps for the screen you have. Already using Lampa? Amo is fully compatible. Keep that client and open app.amo.watch.

Android phone

Android 9+ · official APK

Amo for phones and tablets. It already opens app.amo.watch.

  1. On the phone, allow installs from this browser (Settings → Security → unknown sources).
  2. Download the Amo APK and open it to install.
  3. Launch Amo. Sign in with your Area email, or scan the TV QR later from Area.

Safari · Add to Home Screen

There is no App Store build yet. Safari opens the same Amo app. Add it to the Home Screen for a full-screen icon.

  1. On iPhone or iPad, open Safari (not Chrome).
  2. Go to https://app.amo.watch/ and sign in.
  3. Share → Add to Home Screen. The A mark is the app icon.

If Safari has trouble, keep using https://app.amo.watch/ in the browser. Playback can hand off to Infuse, VLC, or nPlayer.

A native Amo iOS project lives in the Amo source tree for sideload via Xcode.

Android TV

Android 9+ · official APK

Amo for Android TV and Google TV boxes. Leanback launcher, remote, already opens app.amo.watch.

  1. Copy the APK to the TV (USB, Downloader app, or a file manager).
  2. Install it. Allow unknown sources if the TV asks.
  3. Open Amo from the apps row. Sign in on the TV QR with your phone at area.amo.watch/activate.

Older boxes · Crosswalk APK

For boxes that still run Android 4.1-8. Includes the Crosswalk engine so the catalog still loads.

  1. Install with a USB stick or the Downloader app (code from your phone).
  2. If Crosswalk is missing, the app will ask to install it once.
  3. Amo opens on app.amo.watch. Pair with the QR if the box has no keyboard.

Amo for Apple TV is a first-party app, not on the App Store. Sideload from Xcode, or open Amo in a TV browser.

  1. On a Mac, open the Amo TV Xcode project and install to the Apple TV in Developer Mode.
  2. Or, in Safari / a TV browser, go to https://app.amo.watch/.
  3. Scan the QR on your phone to sign in. The TV never takes a password.

Samsung Tizen

Official Amo widget for Samsung Smart TVs. It opens app.amo.watch on the set.

  1. Turn on Developer Mode on the TV (Apps → 12345, then set your PC IP).
  2. Install amo-tizen.wgt with Tizen Studio, Apps2Samsung, or a similar sideload tool.
  3. Launch Amo. Confirm the QR on your phone.

  1. Install the LG Developer Mode app from Content Store and sign in.
  2. From a PC: ares-install amo-webos.ipk (webOS CLI) to the TV IP.
  3. Open Amo on the TV and confirm the QR on your phone.

  1. Install Media Station X from the TV app store.

  3. Restart MSX. Sign in with the QR on your phone.

Amo desktop for Windows. Double-click. No installer. It loads app.amo.watch.

  1. Download the portable exe (about 100 MB).
  2. Windows may warn about an unsigned app. Keep going. This is the official Amo build.
  3. Sign in. External players (VLC, MPC-HC) are optional in settings.
